Hong Kong Padel Academy Limited, Padel Plus HK/ PADEL+ HK and its affiliates (the “Group”) is committed to fully implementing personal data privacy protection in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (the “Ordinance”).

Under the Ordinance, club members have the right to request access to and correction of their personal data held by the Group. Should you wish to access or correct your personal information held by us, please submit your enquiry or request to our team.

You have the right to control what marketing you receive from the Group and how you receive it. You can change your preference at any time through the booking portal or by contacting us.

By accessing or using this website/ mobile application/ booking service (the “Services”), you acknowledge that you accept and consent to the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy Notice. Your use of the Group’s Services is at all times subject to the Terms of Service, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use here without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.

Personal Information Collection

Information Provided

We may collect various types of data and personal information, such as mail addresses, names, location, date of birth, and contact numbers, from you in connection to our services, events, activities, and facilities. We may collect such information for the purpose of membership registrations, court booking services, e-newsletter subscriptions, event registrations, Wi-Fi usage, payments, responding to inquiries, conducting customer surveys, advertising, job applications, employment-related matters, and contractor management.

Please note that while we do not actively seek personal data from individuals under the age of 18, we may collect their personal data if they use our services or register for our activities and events. Minors must obtain consent from one of their parents or guardians before providing personal information to us.

Information Collected Automatically

We receive and store certain types of usage information whenever you interact with the Services. For example, the Group automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, the cookie information, and the page(s) you visited or requested. We also record the details of your activity on the Services, and the number and frequency of visitors to our site and its components.

  • processing your service requests, such as court booking, course registration, e-newsletter subscription, product purchase, Wi-Fi usage and membership registration etc. either through the Group’s website or Third Parties’ website authorised by the Group;
  • sending you direct marketing communications, subject to your consent;
  • providing you with our services;
  • administering your membership account and maintaining your records;
  • facilitating communications between you and the Group, such as court booking confirmation, facility closure notification and bad weather notification;
  • communicating promotional activities of the Group;
  • providing personalised advertising contents and notifications to you based on your experience, preferences and personal information;
  • processing your job application and/or employment-related issues;
  • executing the service contracts between you and us;
and other purposes directly relating to any of the above.

We may collect and combine/process information from you through various channels, such as online channels (e.g. websites, mobile applications, social media platforms), offline channels (e.g. physical registration at the Club), or publicly available information about you. We use this information to help improve your experience and communicate with you about events or offerings that may be of interest.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Local or overseas bodies or authorities such as legal, regulatory, law enforcement, government and tax and any partnerships between law enforcement and the financial sector if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request
  • Third-party service providers and business partners who assist us in delivering our services and improving our operations and/or in accordance to your instructions to us
  • Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or other business transaction

Interpretation

In case of discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions of this Privacy Policy Notice, the English version shall apply and prevail.
